Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi will be playing the antagonist in Vijay’s 64th film. Earlier there were rumors about this but now it is declared officially by the director of the movie, Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has earlier directed a film called Maanagaram. He is currently in the phases of shooting Kaithi starring Karthi and Narain. The music director of Thalapathy 64 is Anirudh Ravichander.
The film will be releasing in the summer of 2020. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie will be produced by Xavier Britto under the banner XB Film Creators. The film will go on sets from October 2019.
