Amazon Prime is very confident about its superhero drama featuring a Superman-type lunatic who is more of a villain than a hero. Well, the good news The Boys has reportedly renewed for a third season. Seth Rogen, a renowned comedian and actor who also serves as the executive producer for The Boys during Comic-Con 2020, said that as the show has fans who love the way the show work, the makers decided to renew The Boys for the third season.

The Boys Season 3: Release Date

The release date of the third season entirely depends on when the filming will begin. During the Comic-Con event, Seth Rogen joked that the third season would release sometime in this decade.

Jokes apart, Eric Kripke, showrunner of The Boys, and the entire hit web series team are cooking up something in the writer’s room. The series’s shooting should begin by early 2021, but nothing can be assured due to the greatest treasure the world has ever found – COVID-19.

Anthony Starr, aka The Homelander, revealed that the third season would begin filming sometime in 2021 January. According to Anthony Starr, the first four to five episodes of the upcoming season and packs a lot of fun.

Jensen Ackles from Supernatural is all set to feature in the third season with a prominent role. Ackles will be portraying the original superhero Soldier Boy from World War II, a parody of Captain America from MARVEL COMICS.

Additionally, the third season will also feature Karl Urban, Erin Moriarty, Jack Quaid, Chace Crawford, Antony Starr, Karen Fukuhara, Jessie T Usher, Laz Alonso, Dominique McElligot, Giancarlo Esposito, Aya Cash, among others.

At the time of writing, the trailer of the third season hasn’t yet been released either. Let’s hope for the best.
