House of the Dragon

There is no denying that Game of Thrones is one of the most beloved and watched TV series of all time. When it was announced that Game of Thrones was getting a prequel series, there were some mixed feelings about the news. However, following an amazing few episodes, the hype for the show is here. Looking to capitalize on the mistakes made in Game of Thrones, it does look as if there is a lot of thought and effort going into this Westeros tale. There is excitement each week for an episode of House of the Dragon to release. If you are struggling to wait for the next episode to come out, you might even need some other pastime to keep you distracted. With great performances from Matt Smith and Milly Alcock in the early proceedings of the show, the future looks promising for the HBO series.

Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power

The Lord of the Rings is perhaps the most loved trilogy series in the world of cinema. It took a generation by storm following the releases in the early 2000s. Since then, it has done nothing but gain more and more fans, with the Hobbit Trilogy also attracting more fans to the franchise. Following the Hobbit trilogy, however, it appeared as if Middle Earth’s days on the screen were over. However, this was not the idea when it came to Amazon Prime. They produced the most expensive TV series ever made in, Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. The show takes place an age before the other releases. However, it still features some familiar characters, such as Sauron, Elrond, and Galadriel. Again, there were some question marks surrounding the series being made. However, getting off to a strong start has answered some questions for Middle Earth fans.

Moon Knight

The MCU is growing at a rapid pace. What was once just a couple of movies every few years is now a constant flow of content. Since the blockbuster Avengers: Endgame was released, the MCU has just grown into something much bigger. A big element of this is due to Disney+ and the series they are releasing. There have already been several series released; however, Moon Knight was one of the most anticipated of all the shows that have come out. Oscar Isaac was the actor chosen to introduce this comic book favorite into the MCU. The series turned out to be a great hit, with many people loving the series. This was largely down to the performance from Isaac, as well as his co-stars Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Moon Knight has been confirmed to return as a character, so there is plenty for Marvel fans to look forward to.

Better Call Saul

There seemed to be a massive gap in the world of television following the ending of Breaking Bad. It was one of the best-written TV shows of all time, with Brian Cranston and Aaron Paul offering truly remarkable performances. However, the prequel series, Better Call Saul, was announced to debut in 2015. Although it took some time to gain traction, it was one of the stand-out series of 2022. The final season of the show finished in August 2022, and it certainly lived up to the Breaking Bad standard. Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, and Jonathan Banks all offered amazing performances as Vince Gilligan once again delivered a knockout TV show for people to enjoy for years to come.
