What might end up being the most prestigious Indian film and one of the most awaited Indian movies in recent years, Kalki 2898 AD is making the news as it seems the film’s trailer release date is confirmed. But is it going to happen? Well, let’s find out.
Presented as an epic science fiction dystopian film with an ensemble cast of some big names like Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, Kalki is going to be the most expensive Indian film ever with an estimated budget of 600 crores.
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is produced under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. The film’s cinematography is being done by Belgrade-based Djordje Stojiljkovic. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor.

While interacting with students at Tech Fest 2023 at IIT Bombay, director Nag Ashwin said that we can expect the film’s trailer on April 1st, 2024. However, it was said in a very vague manner but fans hope that is true. Let’s wait and see.
As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the trailer or even the film’s release date. The film is being shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and will also be dubbed in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English languages. Kalki is expected to be released in late 2024.
