Nayanthara’s latest feature film Annapoorani was released in theatres across Tamil and worldwide on the 1st of December. While the film is in its first-week run, there is already a lot of anticipation around the film’s OTT release. So here’s all you need to know about it.
Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food is a film that revolves around a woman from a Brahmin family who wants to become the best chef in the country but to do so, she will have to master making non-vegetarian dishes as well, going against her orthodox family’s beliefs and values.

While Nayanthara plays the lead role as Annapoorani, the film also stars Jai, Sathyaraj, Achyuth Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Redin Kingsly, Achyuth Kumar, Kumari Sachu, Renuka, Karthik Kumar and Suresh Chakkaravarthy in supporting roles.
Directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, Annapoorani is written by Nilesh Krishnaa, Arul Sakthi Murugan, and Prasanth S. The film’s cinematography was done by Sathyan Sooryan. The music was composed by Thaman S and Praveen Anthony edited the film. Made with an estimated budget of 10 crores, the film is produced under the banners of Zee Studios, Naad Studios, and Trident Arts.
Annapoorani OTT Release Date
It is reported that the film’s OTT rights were bagged by ZEE5 but as of now, there is no official announcement regarding the film’s OTT release date. But don’t worry, we will give you a date to wait for. It is expected that the film will be near the end of its theatrical run in the coming two weeks so one can expect the film to stream online in the first week of January. However, instead of waiting for the OTT release, we recommend you catch the film while it’s still in the theatres.
