This Tuesday, the International Cricket Council postponed the qualifying events for the Women World Cup 2020 and Men’s Under-19 showpiece 2022, which was to take place in July. The Women’s world cup was to take place from July 3 to July-19 in Sri Lanka. Ten teams were to be hosted from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ireland, Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, and the United States. Out of these three teams would have been in the World Cup in New Zealand next year.
Men’s Under-19 2022 was set up to start with European Regional Qualifier in Denmark from July 24 to July 30. The ICC will figure out the time to keep these events after consulting with the participants.
They stated that the well-being f the players in the priority. The remaining ICC under-19 cricket World Cup Regional Qualifies Division 2 is being monitored. The event which was to take place in Africa will take place in Tanzania between August 4 and 14. Asia even will take place in Thailand between December 1 and 9. The Regional Qualifies Division 1 will take place in 2021 in all five regions.
