The director of the Maha movie, U.R. Jameel, soon came to the rescue and rubbished all such rumors. On his Twitter account, he retweeted an account that was spreading false rumors regarding the release of the film.

However, the director was courteous enough to acknowledge the desperation of the fans of Silambarsan, the lead actor in Maha.
