Back in 2013, Michael Hirst had come up with a unique concept of historical fantasy drama and had interwoven social, emotional, and intellectual awakening to create Vikings. The series was an instant hit and was followed by six successful seasons. Now the series is coming up with a sequel, Vikings: Valhalla, and it’s highly anticipated that it will be a blockbuster.
Created by Michael Hirst and Jeb Stuart, the spin-off to Vikings will start a century after the original series and follow the saga of some of the best Norseman in history: Leif Erikson, Freydis Eiriksdottir, Harald Hardrada and Norman King, William the Conquerer.
Production Status of Vikings: Valhalla
Preproduction for Vikings: Valhalla had started in early 2020 but was halted due to Covid. By July, the production was resumed, followed by the start of filming from August 2020. After a no. Of photos surfaced over the internet from the shooting location, the shooting was again suspended in September after many cast and crew members got infected. Later the shooting was resumed, but as per the reports that surfaced in March, the shooting isn’t over, and it’s been halted.
Nevertheless, no matter how long season 1 takes, it won’t take much longer, as the guesses suggest it will premiere by 2021 en; season 2 won’t take much time because the work on it has already started.
Where is Vikings Valhalla filmed?
The highly anticipated show is being filmed in picturesque Ireland, which concludes that many Irish locations will be seen in the show.
Vikings Valhalla Season 1: No. Of Episodes:
Twenty-four episodes have been planned and confirmed for the show. Considering the usual 8 to 13 episodes that the Netflix show brings, we expect the 1st season to have 12 episodes followed by the next 12 in Season 2.
