Lakshmi was born on 19th May 1996 in Kochi, Kerala. She was born to a Dubai-based artist and a dance teacher from Kochi, Kerala. Lakshmi got her first break in 2011 after Malayalam Director Vinayan saw her at Bharatanatyam telecast gave her a role in his film Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya. She later mentioned that she was in eighth grade when she made her first role. She then acted in a film named Ideal Couple along with actor Vineeth directed by Ali Akbar.
After doing two films in the Malayalam language, she started acting in Tamil Cinema with the film Sundaripandyan, which was released in 2012. She then acted in many big films in Kollywood like Manjapai, Jigarthanda, Komban, Vedhalam, and many more.
