Sci-fi movies have always enthralled the audience of every age, no matter what their background is or what genre they usually prefer. Out of several sci-fi movies released to date, the two most popular series will be Godzilla and King Kong.
Godzilla revolved around a genetically mutant lizard who became enormous and started thrashing an entire city, as portrayed by the first movie of the series installment, released in 1954. Similarly, King Kong became superhit Hollywood movies as the whole plot described an excellent relationship between humans and the apes.
In 2021, it seems Warner Bros is all set to bring back the old emotions and fill the ambiance with nostalgia. Their recent endeavor: Godzilla VS Kong, will be released on the digital media, and this sole statement has riled up the entire world with craze and excitement. Fans are now too much eager to know whether it’s an installment in the world-famous MonsterVerse or it will have a prequel coming up in the future.
Yet this information is still not disclosed as the makers are still looking forward to keeping the fans dancing on their toes. Since 2021 is still a comprehensive picture of the previous year’s massacre, Warner Bros decided to release the movie on the digital platform. And perhaps that’s why the box office revenue has skyrocketed within a few days only. This particular reaction from the fans proves that the love and excitement to see two famous mutant monsters fighting against each other has not yet died.
In one of the statements, Adam Wingard promised that if the box office collection remains impressive throughout and the movie manages to impress the viewers, MonsterVerse’s future will be thriving.
The sequel release date is expected to be 2023 since the producers and directors haven’t offered any direct hint on time—all they have said that a fifth installment of the MonsterVerse series might be there. But, at least for the time being, they are not thinking about that. Fans expect the fifth installment to be the endgame, and Warner Bros might end the monstrous plots revolving around the two most powerful animals of the era.
Godzilla and Kong hold a special place in everyone’s heart, and hence, it is inevitable that the installment too will be a blockbuster upon its release.
