Arati Kadav Netflix Original film ‘Cargo’ Netflix trailer is out. By the looks of it, Cargo is a sci-fi film featuring Vikrant Massey & Shweta Tripathi in lead roles. The dark comedy tries to answer some of the important philosophical questions life, death, and the afterlife. This is the first time that someone from India is making a film that addresses the norm of life and death and its dilemma since time immemorial.
In the film, Massey portrays the role of Prahastha, a demon or Rakshasa in Hindu Myth whose Job Description is ‘Post-Death Transition Serves’ to unload dead people or Cargo who are further recycled for their forthcoming incarnation. The film provides a very clever twist regarding the myth of incarnation in Hinduism.
Cargo Netflix Plot
Given that Prahastha is a demon, he still kept his touch with modern-day technology. As far as the synopsis of the film is concerned, Prahastha traded the primitive astras or weapons such as horns and gadas for spaceships and touchpads.
Prahastra’s work-life takes an u-turn when he is assigned with a new assistant, Yuvishka Shekhar, a character portrayed by Tripathi who is nothing like her boss. Yuvishka is quite curious about the job that she does. Her presence in Prahastha’s work-life brings a significant amount of drama.
