Wentworth Season 9 Release Date
“Wentworth” marked its debut on July 28, 2020, on the Fox Showcase for Australian viewers. However, after a decent response from the Australian audience, creators launched season 8 on the popular streaming platform, Netflix. Within a week, the show became a hit on Netflix, and the audience began to crave for the next season. So, answering the fans’ demands, back in October 2019, the CEO of the Asia Pacific region, Chris Oliver-Taylor, announced that season 9 will be the climax season of the show and will bring a more exciting storyline and magical cast.
As per the sources, the shooting for the last season of Wentworth kick-started in early 2020. However, due to the covid interruption, it was at a pause. This caused a slight delay, but the makers managed to wrap up the shooting within September 2020. However, the makers have not yet highlighted the release date of the ninth season. But, if we notice the progress of the post-production process, we can speculate that the audience is just a few months away from Season 9.
