The law has made it compulsory for the citizens of the country to register the birth of a child within 21 days in the state he is born.

For encouraging people, the state government of Uttar Pradesh has made the birth registration process online where the applicant can register the birth without giving the child’s name and can update it after one year. All the applications are available on the official website.

While the Municipal Corporation will issue the Birth Certificate in urban areas, the Tashildhar will issue the Birth Certificate in rural areas.

The Uttar Pradesh Birth Certificate is totally free of cost under the Registration of Birth and Death Act, 1969, if the application for registration is made within a specified period i.e. within 21 days.

  4. On submission, you will receive a confirmation SMS about the Birth Certificate.
Application through Citizen Service Centre
  1. Get the application for the birth certificate.
  2. Give all necessary details to the concerned person, for he will fill the form for you.
  3. Declare the form by checking that all details are correct.
  4. On submission of application, you will receive a confirmation SMS about the birth certificate.
  5. Pay the Birth Certificate fee to CSC, which will later be transferred to the government.

  1. Get the application for a birth certificate.

  • On the top of the page, you will see an option “Citizen Login”. Click on that.
  • Login with your registered mobile number and password.
  • If you are a new user, click on “New User Registration” and follow the screen instructions properly.
  • After accessing the account, select the Birth Certificate from the options. An application form will be opened on the page.
  • Fill the application form with correct details and upload the documents in the given format and size.
  • Click on Apply button. The online payment page will be displayed on the screen with the amount to be paid.
  • Select the mode of payment and complete the payment.
  • On successful payment, you will get the Application Number. Keep it safe for future reference.

  • Go on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Birth Certificate.
  • Click on Birth Certificate option on the left side of the home page. A new page will be opened on the screen.

  • Enter your Acknowledgment Number and image text in the fields assigned.
  • Click on Submit option. You will see the Birth certificate Status displayed on the screen.

Steps to Download Uttar Pradesh Birth Certificate

  1. Go on the official website of Uttar Pradesh Birth Certificate.
  2. Click on Birth Certificate option on the left side of the home page.
  3. Click on Download Birth certificate option on the screen.
  4. Enter your Acknowledgment Number or search for the certificate by entering your city name and date of birth.
  5. Select the Acknowledgement Number or Registration Number, enter details and complete the Captcha.
  6. Click on submit button. You will see the certificate on the screen.
  7. Click on download and take out a print for future reference.

  • Click on verify Birth Certificate option on the page.

  • Enter details like Registration Number or Acknowledgement Number in the text field given on the page.
  • Enter image text for the security purpose and click on the Submit option given below the page.
  • You will see complete details of the birth certificate displayed on the screen.

Online Birth Certificate Application Fee

The fee details for an online birth certificate are as follows:

  • If you register within 21 days of the birth – Free
  • If you register from 21 days to 30 days of the birth – Rs. 2
  • If you register after one year of the birth – Rs. 10. However, if the registration is done at the Head office of the Health Department, the late fee is Rs. 5.
