Train to Busan was regarded as one of the popular and best films of the year 2016. Moreover, the film was a massive success across Korea. The reports are suggesting that Train to Busan is the first-ever Korean film that attracted over 10 million cinema-goers across Korea.

The premise of the film is about a definitive group of passengers in Korea who got pulled up in a biohazard scenario after a zombie outbreak. The passengers try their best to survive in the quarantine zone while they were traveling via train to Busan. The journey of the train began in Seoul. Moreover, the film did garner a significant amount of attention from audiences across the world.

The film is all set to release some time in the Summer of 2020; however, the release date is yet to be confirmed. The first instalment of Peninsula, Train to Busan made around $93.1 Million in the worldwide box-office. In addition to this, the film did also become the highest-grossing film in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

The film has an 88% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and on IMDB the film has a rating of 7.5 stars. Train to Busan instantly became the fourth famous Korean film of all time. The poster of Peninsula has reportedly been released across social media sites and the internet.

Cast of Peninsula

It is unsure if some of the cast members of the first instalment will feature in Peninsula. On the other hand, the details of the second instalment are still unknown; however, the posters revealed two cast members such as Lee Jung-Hyun from Alice in Earnestland and Dang-won from Master’s Gang.

The budget of the instalment is of Peninsula is reported to be just twice as the first instalment which was around $8 Million.

Plot

The poster of Peninsula suggests that the events in the film take place after the zombie outbreak of Train to Busan. Jung-Seok, a retired soldier heads back to Korea’s peninsula to kill zombies and ends up meeting with several survivors who survived after the outbreak.
