Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance is the prequel of the critically acclaimed and popular animated 1982 film. Netflix has been teasing about the original series for more than a year now. Now, finally, the audience is in for a treat. The streaming giant has released the new trailer for Dark Crystal’s prequel series on the 13th of Aug 2019. Moreover, the trailer did speak showcase that the showrunners and Netflix have done an excellent job.
The series revolves around the seven distinctive clans that represent Gelflings. In addition to this, Gelflings reside in a beautiful and benevolent place in the entire galaxy called Thra. The forthcoming series would take place years prior to the events of the cult classic Hollywood flick.

The 10-episode series would revolve around the evil Skeksis who utilize the power of the mystical Crystal of Truth by keeping themselves immortal. In addition to this, the trailer also revealed that Skeksis rule over the peace-loving race, namely the Gelfling.
In the trailer, a very young Gelfling, namely Jen, is abducted by Mystics, the kind warlocks. Finally, he learns the truth about being deceived by the Skeksis. The streaming giant recently said that the series would premiere on the 30th of Aug 2019.
The ensemble cast of Dark Crystal
Anya Taylor-Joy, Taron Egerton, Nathalie Emmanuel, Donna Kimball lend their voices as Rian, Brea, Deet, and Aughra. The series also features Simon Pegg, Awkwafina, Jason Isaacs, Andy Samberg, Mark Hamill, Sigourney Weaver are also the cast members of the series.
In addition to this Natalie Dormer, Mark Strong, Alicia Vikander, Lena Headey, Helena Bonham Carter will voice Onica, Ordon, Mira, Maudra Fara, Maudra Mayrin characters in the forthcoming animated series. In the series, the friends will embark on an extravagant expedition for saving their planet from the sickness caused by the evil Skeksis.
