The Amazon Prime anthology series ‘Them’ was renewed for a second season ahead of the series premiere on April 2021. After opening to a series of mixed reviews, ‘Them’ season 2 might actually be closer for release than fans might expect.
‘Them’ season 1 begins as a drama series that revolves around the racial abuse on the Emory family. It covers a lot of controversial content while also addressing various issues that were common in the 50s. As the story takes place in post-war North Carolina, the Emory family is faced with waves of racial abuse and discontent from the white-dominant community.
Things start to take a turn for the worse when the Emory family finds out that there is evil to fight within the house more than outside. Throughout each episode, fans will find themselves stuck in between bombs of human rights issues coupled with paranormal activities. Many have since waited to know more about the future of ‘Them’ season 2.
Them Season 2 Release Date
As fans already knew, the second season of ‘Them’ was already approved ahead of the series premiere. However, there has been no official announcement about the season 2 release date. Since the first season was released later than scheduled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the second season has not yet started production.
As for realistic expectations, fans can expect season 2 to begin in the upcoming months, with the release date to be somewhere in the first half of 2022.
Them Season 2 Plot
The anthology series was planned to feature a different story in a different timeline each season. So fans can expect the Season 2 plot to be entirely irrelevant to the first season’s events. But if the production unit decides to stick to racial discrimination, there will be no shortage of real-life events for the writers to take from.
Them Season 2 Cast
Since the second season will not be related to its predecessor, fans might not see their favorite cast members of the Emory family. However, there is a possibility that they could return if the production unit decides to retain the original cast to play different roles.
