The science-fiction comedy and drama web series The Orville is all set to launch its new season, i.e., Orville Season 3. The series is inspired fro the two web series, which are Star Trek and the Next Generation. The series revolves around the USS Orville spaceship’s crew’s adventures, all set in the 25th century.
The Orville story was created by Mr. Seth MacFarlane, who was also part of the series, featured as the protagonist Ed Mercer. The first season of The Orville was released on the 10th of September, 2017. The series was premiered on Fox.

The Orville Season 3 – Release Date
The second season for The Orville was released on the 30th of December, 2018, Fox. All the episodes were released till the 25th of March, 2019. The Orville Season 2 has 14 episodes, and each episode has an average duration of 48 minutes.

The makers announced The Orville Season 3 on the 11th of May, 2019. MacFarlane announced on the 20th of July, 2019, at the time of San Diego Comic-con, that the new series of The Orville will be released on Hulu in Fox’s place.
The Orville Season 3 started in October 2019, but the shooting stopped halfway on March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. After that, the shooting got started again in December 2020, but it stopped again to prevent their crew’s health and the cast after increasing the coronavirus cases in Los Angeles.
The production team did not yet confirm the resume of the shooting of The Orville Season 3. This is why the exact date of the release of the new season was not revealed yet. If the shooting gets resumed soon, then The Orville Season 3 can be released by 2021.
