The Isekai Anime: KonoSuba Season 3 Release Date – Renewed or Cancelled?

KonoSuba is a famous anime that comes from the Isekai genre. Natsume Akatsuki, the favorite Isekai author, wrote the KonoSuba, and Kurone Mishima has illustrated the anime. The series first made its appearance on the light novel, which is entirely user-generated. On the other hand, the series was hugely popular after featuring on the website called Shosetsuka ni Naro. The popularity of the series goes back to December 2012, when things are utterly peaceful and normal.

Due to its increasing popularity, Kadokawa Shoten did pick up the series and adapted it into a series. Moreover, the published version did run from October 2013 till May 2020. Additionally, the light novel also managed to inspire a manga featuring the same story.

KonoSuba Season 3: Plot

The story follows Kazuma Sato, a teenager who was seemingly offered to be teleported to a parallel world. The parallel world isn’t anything like the everyday world and the MMORPG elements where teenagers could easily wield weapons and then battle monsters.

However, there was a certain change of events when Kazuma was offered to handle the most powerful weapon in existence. But, he chose a goddess named Aqua to accompany him in his future adventures. In the second season’s 10th episode, Kazuma and his friend manage to get away from an excruciatingly angry mob and found out that the water and getting poisoned by a slime. The slime wasn’t a normal one rather; he was the leader of an army called Devil King, aka Hans.

At the time of writing, none of the official announcements are made concerning the third season’s release. KonoSuba anime can get tons of content from the manga and light novel, considering they ended in 2020.

The third season will premiere sometime in the last quarter of 2022 or the first quarter of 2023.
