Back in the 1980s, a Novel titled Katie’s Babysitting Job gained massive popularity among the audience. Jean Feiwel promptly recognized that novels on babysitting could perform well, and so he contacted Ann M. Martin. The latter created the characters, plots, and settings for a babysitting series of novels.
Following this, 213 novels got published, and then came the graphic novels and finally a 13 episode long TV series in 1990. After two decades of the airing of The Baby-Sitters Club, in July 2020, a new version of the show was released.
The sweet, sincere, and full of hope, The Baby-Sitters Club did justice with its source material while revamping the story for Gen Z. Soon after the success of Season 1, Netflix confirmed a Season 2, and here are the details.
The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2: Release Date and Trailer:
In October 2020, A video showcasing the stars of Season 1 lip-syncing the theme of the original series was posted on the Netflix Australia and New Zealand account, which confirmed that BSC would be returning for Season 2. Following the announcement, Netflix confirmed that the show would premiere its season 2 in 2021.
So we can expect the show to release on Netflix by the end of 2021. No trailer has been released, but we assume it will be out in a couple of days, considering that the filming for the show had started on 20th February 2021.
The Baby-Sitters Club Season 2: what to expect!!
As revealed by Shukert, Season 2 may delve deeper into the life of Kristy in her new family. Also, we’ll get to explore the changes in the relationship of Mary Anne and Dawn as their parents get closer. Shay Rudolph, who plays Stacey, stated that she doesn’t want her character to move to New York like what happens in the book as she wants to have more fun in the babysitting adventures.
Also, Jessy Ramsey will have a big part in Season 2, which may further influence the plot in a big way. Not every part of the story is derived from the books; it would be fun exploring the novelty.
