Thalapathy Vijay’s 64th movie will be releasing in the summer of 2020. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie will be produced by Xavier Britto under the banner XB Film Creators. The film will go on sets from October 2019.
This announcement came as a surprise to fans of Vijay. They are happy to listen to this news as they will seeing their hero in another movie within a short time. Production company XB Film Creators has made this announcement. Check out their tweet:

The film will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who earlier directed a film called Maanagaram. He is currently in the phases of shooting Kaithi starring Karthi and
Narain. Lokesh also tweeted about the announcement thanking Vijay.

The most exciting part about this announcement is the music will be directed by Anirudh Ravichander. Vijay and Anirudh earlier collaborated for AR Murugadoss’s Kaththi. Both the film and the songs were blockbuster. It will be exciting to see what happens this time.
It has been rumored earlier that Rashmika Mandanna will be the female lead but the makers have denied these rumors. Now there is talk that Kabir Singh fame Kiara Advani will be paired opposite Vijay. Reports say Angamaly Diaries fame Antony Varghese will also be playing an important role in the film. But nothing is confirmed regarding the cast until now.
Sathya N Sooryan, who earlier worked for Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and currently working of Kaithi will be the director of photography. Philom in Raj is the editor of the film. Audio Rights are bought by Sony Music South.
