On Tuesday, 12th of May, the education minister of Tamil Nadu school said that the Class 10th board exams or SSLC exams will start on the 1st of June and will end on 12th of June. He has also released the schedule of the class 10th board exam which has been given below.
The TN SSLC exams were supposed to start from 27th of March but could not be held and were postponed due to the nationwide lockdown imposed from 25th of March to curb the spread of coronavirus.

- June 1, 2020: Language
- June 3, 2020: English
- June 5, 2020: Maths
- June 6, 2020: Optional Language
- June 8, 2020: Science
- June 10, 2020: Social Science
- June 12, 2020: Vocational
The Minister also said that the students appearing for the board exams would be seated in line and social distancing norms would be strictly adhered to.
The School Education Minister, K.A. Sengottaiyan, said that the evaluation of answer sheets of the Class 12th exam will begin from the 27th of May. Also, the re-examination for absentees in the final exams of class 12th will be held on the 4th of June.
The exams of three subjects i.e. Chemistry, accounting and geography would be conducted again on the 4th of June as around 36,000 students could not appear in the last exam of class 12th.
Meanwhile, the announcement has also been made that the final exams of class 11th, which were suppose to begin from 26th of March will now be held from 2nd of June.
The minister said that the Tamil Nadu State government has not yet decided on re-opening the schools post COVID-19 lockdown.
All the students are further recommended to visit the official website of the state to check and confirm the dates of exam.
