Street Dancer 3D is a Bollywood Hindi-language dance genre film directed by Remo D’Souza. The film is scheduled to hit the big screens on 24th January 2020. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor, Prabhu Deva and Nora Fatehi in main roles.
Street Dancer was written by Farhad Samji, Jagdeep Sidhu(Dialogues), produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Lizelle D’Souza under T-Series and Remo D’Souza Entertainment.
Sachin–Jigar, Tanishk Bagchi, Badshah, and Guru Randhawa composed background score and songs for the film, Vijay Kumar Arora handled cinematography and editing was done by Manan Ajay Sagar. AA films company has taken over distribution rights for the film.
This film was actually planned to release as a sequel to Disney’s ABCD 2. later due to several reasons title was changed to Street Dancer. The film unit began shooting for the film from February 2019 and got wrapped up in July 2019. Katrina Kaif was initially chosen for the lead role, later she opted out.
The film unit initially planned to release the film on 8th November 2019, later got postponed to January. The first look poster of the film was released on 27th May with the release date on it. The trailer of this film was released on December 17th, 2019 and received an immense response from the audience. The trailer got 59.5 Million views and 926k likes.
The video songs of this film are getting huge responses on youtube. The first single Muqabla got huge of 138 Million views. Later, another 2 songs “GarmiSong” and “Illegal Weapon 2.0” got 99 Million and 85 Million respectively.
The film’s release date is coinciding with Republic day. The film may get affected by other big films like Panga which will release on the same day. Varun Dhawan’s previous film Kalank has collected 146 Cr in India. Varun Dhawan is now working for the film Coolie No.1 which will be released in 2020.
