Stranger Things is a sci-fi horror series that is streamed on Netflix. Lately, Netflix has added various popular shows in its armor to defend its ‘streaming giant’ tag and Stranger Things definitely lies one among them. It is heavily acclaimed by critics for it’s three super successful seasons.
The series has been on the headlines since its inception itself. Season 1 and 2 of the show were enough to help its creators earn 18 Prime Time Emmy Nominations and two golden globe nominations. The series is created by Duffer Brothers.
The series is set in a fictional landscape and is steeped in supernatural and psychic powers through the character, Eleven. It also portrays battles against evils and eternal values of friendship and strength in unity.
After the blockbuster three seasons, everyone is eagerly waiting for its grand Season 4. Though the renewal of the series stands confirmed as of now, the release date is still in the cradle of speculations.
Stranger Things Season 4 Release Date Delayed
As per Jim Hopper, the fourth season was supposed to come out “early next year.” He recently informed all the fans of the show in his live about the current situation, as they are trying to cope up with it. However, due to this Coronavirus pandemic, the production of the fourth season is stopped. Thus, the release date will be pushed ahead, although he did not predict any release period. However, we think the show will not return until the latter half of 2021.

Stranger Things Season 4 Cast
The leading cast crew of the series includes Winona Ryder who plays the role of Joyce Byers, a woman whose son gets disappeared and stands at the forefront of the series of events that follow thereafter. Ryder is known for their works in ‘Heathers’, ‘Girl, Interrupted’ and ‘The Age of Innocence’. She is a Golden Globe Winner and has been nominated twice for the Academy Awards.
David Harbour plays the role of Jim Hopper, the chief of the Police Department who has a wide character arc as there exist hints of her romantic relationship with Joyce. He has also evolved to be the father figure for Eleven. The actor Harbour has also worked in other projects like ‘Hell Boy’, ‘The Newsroom’ and ‘Black Mass’.
We also find Millie Bobby Brown in the role of Eleven. She is a psychokinetic girl as her mother had been experimented on during her pregnancy.
Other members of the cast crew include Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas, Noah Schnapp as Will, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Jonathan Byers as Charlie Heaton, Steve Harington as Joe Keery among others. All the prominent cast crew of Stranger Things is expected to return on Season 4.
What is Stranger Things Season 4 Plot?
As said earlier, the series is set in the fictional landscape of Hawkins. The show starts with the disappearance of Will Byers and later his ‘dead body’ is found in the river. Everyone believes that Will is dead except her mother Joyce.
Meanwhile, Will’s friends Mike, Lucas, and Dustin come across Eleven who is a strange girl with psychokinetic abilities. Her superpowers are a result of a Government Project which is secretly undertaken.
Season 1 deals with the mystery behind Will’s sudden disappearance and the concept of ‘Upside Down’. It ends on a rather drastic note- with the fate of Eleven being uncertain.
Season 2 clarifies what happened to Eleven and also portrays how she got in touch with Hopper. It introduces us to another villain called Shadow Monster. Meanwhile, the encroachment of the ‘Upside Down’ into Hawkins increases day by day. The Season brought Hopper and Eleven together and with the addition of Max in the group, a new rivalry is set between Lucas and Dustin adding further dynamics to the group.
Season 3 of the series is set in 1985 Hawkins, Indiana. The town is threatened again by the familiar evils and the never-ending journey of our heroes continues. They band together and beat all odds with the realization that friendship is stronger than fear. However, romance blossoms amidst the Hawkins crew changing the dynamics of the team.
Season 4 is expected to carry forward the super-hit legacy established by the series as we will meet new challenges and stronger forms of our Hawkins Crew. So, get ready!
