Despite the massive success of shows like Squid Game, Midnight Mass, and other horrifying Netflix shows to keep the audience occupied, the streamer’s one of the greatest hits has yet to come back, and audiences are eagerly waiting.
The 4th season of Stranger Things wrapped up in September (via Screen Rant), despite being slowed down by the pandemic last year. Even with a snippet, viewers are still unsure what lies ahead for Hawkins’ heroes, but fortunately, one of its own seems to have some insightful observations on what we can anticipate.
The hero from Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard revealed whatever he knew about Season 4 on The Matt Wilkinson Show (through Decider).
It will have to deal with the consequences from Season 3, which saw Hopper (David Harbour) disappear and assumed dead, and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and her pals flee Hawkins. Wolfhard’s cryptic hints indicate that things will only get harsher but in the greatest way possible.
All About Stranger Things Season 4
Mike Wheeler, played by Finn Wolfhard, said that they will stay true to their old promises. He revealed, “This season is like truly messed up, and it’s going to freak people out a lot.” Thankfully, irrespective of the forthcoming twists and turns and resurrected characters, the brilliant minds behind this crazy world always have one primary goal in mind: captivating our attention.
Wolfhard said, “You know [creators] the Duffer Brothers are doing things that people haven’t seen before in the show, which is really refreshing.” He then continued, “Because if the show has been going on for as long as it has, you want people to still care.”
For now, the only major complaint is the inability to see what Season 4 has in store for us. Netflix has set the return journey to the Upside Down for 2022, with no official release date.
Stranger Things has only grown bigger with each season. That has been a cause of worry for some fans, but it will be intriguing to see how Season 4 takes things to the next level. The Creel House is a fascinating setting, and the big cast of newbies poised to flood Hawkins can give the series new vitality.
In the midst of all of this, it appears that Stranger Things Season 4 will continue to deliver the surprises that fans have grown accustomed to. Before you binge, everyone should brace up because it’s going to be a crazy trip.
