Deeply affected by the death of Data in Star Trek: Nemesis and the destruction of the planet Romulus in Star Trek’s film, the most iconic character of the Star Trek franchise: Jean- Luc Picard, returned in the Star Trek: Picard set 20 years after the incidents. Soon after its release, the show set a new record with 115 percent more total streams than the previous record set by Star Trek: Discovery.

Star Trek: Picard Season 2 release date
As per the plans, Star Trek: Picard Season 2 had to undergo filming in June 2020, but then the Covid hit, and the shooting was suspended. Finally, the filming in February 2021 in California. But due to the delay, the second season will release after Star Trek: Discovery Season 4 goes on the floor. The First Contact Day virtual event on April 5, 2021, confirmed that the second season would premiere sometime in early 2022 on Paramount plus in the US and on Amazon Prime Video for the rest of the world. As long as the final date is not announced, let’s stick to the early 2022 speculation.
Star Trek: Picard Season 2 Plot
Last we saw. Victorious Picard is setting out abroad, but Season 2 will be testing him once again as Q will return. Besides, Whoopi Goldberg will also return as Guinan, having conflict with Q. Also, the trailer teased Seven of Nine losing her Borg implants, which will have significant consequences for him. We hope the season will be much more incredible than we could ever speculate.
