Snowpiercer, the post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television drama series based on a 2013 film of the same name, has rocked Netflix twice already, and now the makers are coming up with the Third Season. The series had first premiered on May 17, 2020. The series is set in a time when the Earth has transformed into a frozen wasteland. It revolves around the passengers of a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe and questions Class warfare, social injustice, and the politics of survival.
The Second Season of the show had premiered on January 25, 2021, and ahead of it, the show makers had announced the renewal for a third season removing any doubts the fans may have had. So here’s everything we know about the coming season.
Snowpiercer Season 3 Release Date:
There has been no official announcement regarding when the Third Season will be out, but if the trend continues with just an 8-month gap between the first two seasons, we can expect Season 3 to be released by 2022. But until the official announcement is made, let’s guess the plot.
Snowpiercer Season 3 Plot:
Season 2 had ended with a spectacular cliffhanger where Andre Lyton steals the first ten cards of the Snowpiercer and diverts them to the rocky mountains to rescue Melanie, but instead, they find out that she has left to die in a frozen land. Meanwhile, they have left all the data behind to prove that Earth is warming up, so maybe Season 2 could actually see Melanie‘s dream of life outside the train to be realized, and that will determine the future of the Human race. Also, the journey of the remaining survivors will be taking new twists and turns.
Snowpiercer Season 3 Cast:
Production on Snowpiercer Season 3 will be over by July 2021. The latest Season’s expected cast includes leads Daveed Diggs and Sean Bean, Rowan Blanchard, Alison Wright, Lena Hall, Mickey Sumner, Sam Otto, Annalise Basso, and Steven Ogg, and Archie Panjabi. Melanie Cavill dies at the end of Season 2, but Jennifer Connelly has been confirmed for Season 3.
