Netflix has announced the finishing of season 3 of Sex Education, a British comedy and drama series about sexuality set up in a British Secondary School. The series gained critical acclaim and recognition for its depiction and portrayal of such a sensitive topic, which is generally ignored on mainstream entertainment platforms.
The series is not your typical sex comedy rather a teen drama where the kids are a little reckless and go through a series of sexual misadventures educating the generation to which they belong and the adults.
Season one of the show premiered on11 January 2019 and instantly became a huge success on Netflix, gained a lot of praise, and was a commercial hit too, since it hit 40 million viewers streaming it after the debut of the first season. With the whole buzz around it, the second season was released a year later, on17 January 2020.
Sex Education Plot Premise, Season 1, and Season 2:
The plot revolves around, Otis Milburn who is quite an insecure teenager. He is a student at the Moor dale Secondary School and has contradictory views on sex because his mother is a sex therapist. Since his mother is an expert on the subject, they are pretty open to each other. Things change when Otis helps his school bully overcome his anxiety during the sexual performance, which leads him to open a sex advice business with Maeve, his classmate, to help fellow students with their sexual problems.

The second series was all about when reality hit Otis after he gets into a relationship and faces the pressures and expectations regarding romance in high school. Their genuine love is put at stake on a test when new students enter and challenge the students at Moor Dale. Without giving us even a hint of what happens after, the show makers left us in a pit of suspense and confusion. Thus right now, we can only keep up our hopes for the Moor Dale students.

Production and Sex Education Season 3 Release details:
After the COVID situation got a little in control, Netflix returned to its production at a pre- COVID pace. The Show announced the renewal of a third season onFebruary 10, 2020. The making got a little delayed due to the pandemic hitting hard. The demand reached a little high for season 3 since the season 2 finale ended in a cliffhanger; also, the series was declared a ‘universal hit.’
