“Selena: The Series” is a biographical drama based on the life of Selena Quintanilla, a Tejano singer, and her rise to fame. Part 1 of the show was released in the December of 2020 and it recounted the childhood of the singer in Texas and the release of her first album, Ven Conmingo. The show received mixed reviews by the critics and it was renewed for a second season which premiered after just 5 months of the first season, on May 4, 2021.
Part 2 will be delving into her personal life like her marriage with Chris Perez, her first English Album, and her cursed relationship with Yolanda Saldivar who shot her and killed her on March 31, 1995. Now the fans who have developed a deep connection with the life of the singer are wondering if they’ll get to see more of her life, Here all the details regarding Season 3.
Selena: The Series Season 3 Release Date:
Netflix hasn’t revealed whether there are any plans for Season 3. Season 2 will be concluding with Selena’s death so in case a third season comes up, it either would have to shift the focus on a different character, maybe somebody who would have been closer to Selena, or it could come up like a prequel showcasing some more unknown incidents from Selena’s life. But all and all we have to wait until Netflix plans for Third Season.
Given that, if the renewal happens, the show may return only by next year as the production, filming and postproduction will at least take a year.
