Bling Empire, which follows some of Los Angeles’ richest Asians, has joined Netflix’s large and increasing number of reality shows. The program includes everything you would expect from a show with this premise: sprawling estates, lavish parties, scandalous gossip, shopping trips to Paris and lots of jewelry.
Everything we know about Bling Empire
At the opening of the presentation, model Kevin Kreider sets the tone by explaining that he always thought Crazy Rich Asians was a fantasy until he met his millionaire buddy Kane Lim. Kevin exclaims, “They’ve got the world at their disposal,” with a look of wonder he holds throughout the performance as he feasts, gossips, and jet sets with Kane and his wealthy group.
There’s a lot of drama when Christine Chiu, a socialite and philanthropist, clashes with Anna Shay, an even wealthier woman who in one episode says, “she can’t compete with what I was born into.”
Within the group, the tumultuous relationship between entrepreneur Kelly Mi Li and her actor boyfriend Drew is a heated issue. Cherie Chan, baffled as to why her five-year-old boyfriend hasn’t proposed to her yet, also anticipates the arrival of her second child, for whom she can’t wait to have photo shoots in Hermes bags and boxes.
Words like gaudy, expensive and over-the-top come to mind when describing the behavior of some cast members. While one ‘epic’ birthday party of a year has a grab machine with Gucci bags where visitors can play and receive gifts, another party called ‘Keep it tight’ has a Botox bar. What if a young person visits an heiress and there are no toys to play with?
After all, diamonds are constantly present! There are impromptu birthday luncheon visits to Paris and private jets to take the wealthy on shopping expeditions to Las Vegas among the never-ending stream of events.
While there’s plenty of entertainment, Bling Empire excels in its attempt to dive into culture and identity with its all-Asian ensemble, which is unusual for a program like this. Kevin’s search for his biological family after being adopted from South Korea into an American family, and his buddy DJ Kim Lee’s desire to reunite with her lost father are two of the most touching moments. on the show. There are rigid, traditional Asian families, unhealthy relationships and also homesickness.
“The Asians are here,” Kane exclaims to a group of individuals he sees with a confederacy flag in Charleston, in perhaps the best order of the show. We are coming to take over your house!” While there is a heart among the gold, the show’s message of culture, identity and heritage is usually overshadowed by the bling.
The first season of Bling Empire is a fast watch with only eight episodes. There may be many concerns of wealthy people, as well as an abundance of glitz, sparkle and trivialities, but the program is hugely entertaining.
Bling Empire’s love triangle isn’t over yet
Kelly has a love triangle with two suitors on Bling Empire: Kevin and Andrew Gray, her then-boyfriend, who broke up in March 2021, according to Instagram. Kelly and Kevin have a flirty conversation in the conclusion.
The love triangle isn’t over, according to the show’s EP. “Kevin doesn’t like the connection between Kelly and Drew and wants to replace them, but I’m not sure he will be able to. God willing, we can continue to tell these people’s stories, and we’ll all find out how it ends, because I’m just as curious as the next person,” Jenkins explains.
Bling Empire Ending left us with several burning questions
Viewers want solutions to the season’s key issues as much as the cast of Bling Empire wants high-end designer brands and lavish mansions. For starters, after many ups and downs, Kelly closes out the season at the home of her on-again, off-again lover Andrew. (Although Kane tells ET, “Maybe season 2, we’ll see another split,” the pair would still be together in real life.)
Then there’s Kim, whose season-long search for her biological father comes to an abrupt halt. However, she seems to connect with Kevin during Cherie Chan’s 100 day celebration. Christine and her husband, Dr. Gabriel, will have to wait and see if they are expecting a second child.
Is Bling Empire Season 2 Coming?
We’re ecstatic about the revamp, but it’s not surprising. Bling Empire is the latest in a long line of Netflix reality shows in wealthy circles.

In other words, there is no launch date for the second season. Due to the ongoing epidemic, there are also major production delays, unbeknownst to Los Angeles, where the series is based. Season 2 of Bling Empire may take several years to reach viewers.
