Rio Raj Personal Life:
Rio Raj was born on 17 February in the year 1989 to a middle-class family. His birthplace is the city Erode in Tamil Nadu, India. He passed his high school education from Boys Govt. Hr. Secondary School in Erode. Rio later graduated from Guru Ragavendra Polytechnic College, Veppoor district of Gudiyattam in Tamil Nadu. After dating for a while, Rio married his girlfriend Shruthi Ravi in the month of February 2017. They became parents in the early months of 2020 when Shruthi gave birth to a baby girl on March 7. The couple named their daughter Rithi by combining the pair’s names.
Rio Raj Career:
Rio started his career as an actor by playing a role in one of the top daily soap dramas of Tamil language titled Kana Kaanum Kaalangal-Kaloori Saalai. He later appeared on Sun Music Channel as video jockey, hosting various shows for about three years. Rio grabbed his first lead role in 2016 for the television series of Star Vijay named Saravanan Meenatchi playing the character of Saravanan. He went on hosting various popular television shows for later years on Star Vijay including the talk show of Bigg Boss Tamil 2- fun unlimited.
Rio debuted his career in films with a supporting role in 2017 film Sathriyan and got his first lead role in films through Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja released in June of 2019. This movie gifted him with the Rising Star Award at Edison Awards of 2019. He has also acted in a short film Kadhal Ondru Kanden.
