Rick and Morty Season 5 – Dan Harmon Teases New Episodes
Rick and Morty’s co-creator Dan Harmon gave a new update to the fans regarding the production. He also teased fans with what to expect from new episodes of Rick and Morty. It is a known fact that Adult Swim ordered 70 new episodes of Rick and Morty in May 2018. So, you can expect more seasons in the future as well.
Even before the fourth season’s release, Rick and Morty’s creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, were excited about the fifth season renewal. They shared their excitement in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. They also shared few details during the interaction.
Roiland said, “We’re happy. We want to tell a lot of stories, a lot to do, but it’s great. Job security like that does not come easy in this town. We are rolling right into the next batch. The plan has always been to get them out quicker.”
And, Harmon commented on the massive gap between Rick and Morty Seasons 3 and Season 4. He said that the two-year wait would be the “longest and last time that it is ever so long.”

Harmon also shared that they have already started writing the fifth season. Later, at PaleyFest NY in October 2020, the co-creator announced Rick and Morty Season 5 was ‘more on schedule’ despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
He also hinted that they have started working for season 6. He said, “I often get confused right now between season 5 and season 6. We are very late in the season writing season 6, looking at finales for both seasons, and then also refining the finale of one and the premiere of another.”
Dan Harmon Teases Rick & Morty Season 5 Episodes
In March 2021, during Adult Swim’s ‘Animating From Home’ panel at SXSW, Harmon announced that the writers have started working on Rick and Morty Season 7. He said, “A week from now, the season seven writers room starts while we continue to work on season 5 episodes.”

Further in the conversation, Harmon teased with details of Rick and Morty Season 5. He gave few hints on what to expect from the new episodes. And from that information, it seems that the release will be sooner than expected.
When asked to tease the season 5 episodes, Harmon, the co-creator, said, “Robot boobies… because it’s the future. You thought regular boobies were interesting. Wait until 2021 hits you.”
Rick and Morty Season 5 Trailer
There is no official trailer for Rick and Morty Season 5. A little bit of sneak peek was shared last year during a Comic-Con@Home panel in an animated form. The first look of the series showed Rick being injured, and Morty was carrying him to their ship to escape out of the portal.
