Filmmaker Mysskin has returned with the announcement of Pisaasu 2 after celebrating five years of success with Pisaasu. Pisaasu was the Tamil horror film released in the winter of 2014, grossing 80 million rupees and becoming the most profitable Tamil movie of the year. The news popped out of the box when the Rockfort Entertainment released a statement on the production venture of the sequel to the Pisaasu through their twitter account on Mysskin’s birthday i.e September 20.

Pisaasu 2 Release date, trailer, cast and plot
Writer and director Mysskin gave a peek through to this latest announcement earlier in his tweet telling his fans to look forward to his next film project. A few parts of the film have already been shot in the last November in London but the shoot was halted as it faced some permission related issues abroad. However, the shooting of the film is said to commence around the month of November later this year. It is hoped to be released by the mid of 2021.
The pre look poster with the title “Pisaasu II” was released with the official statement on Rockfort Entertainment’s twitter account. The exact dates of the trailer release are yet to be announced. As per the resources the trailer is believed to be released in the year of 2021 after the official poster and teaser release.
It has been confirmed that the actress-singer Andrea Jeremiah is signed for the female lead role in the film by Mysskin. The male lead role is to be played by the actor Rajkumar Pitchumani from the film Psycho. The casting team is still working on the rest of the cast and crew.
The makers of the film have decided to have Karthik Raja to compose the music of the sequel. Pisaasu 2 is set to have a horror – thriller theme for the film. The plot may consist of a story of a girl and boy supposedly having a girl playing as a supernatural spirit while Rajkumar in a crucial role, concerning in the hills of Masinagudi town.
