The story of Petromax is about 4 guys who agree to live in a haunted bungalow for a night to prove that it is safe to live there. Does the house really have any ghosts? What happened in the house which leads to the haunted stories? Who is Tamannah and how is she related to the whole story.

Tamannah was last seen in Sye Raa for which she was appreciated by the critics for her intense role. The actress’s last lead role was in Devi 2 which was a disaster at the box office.

Petromax has a meaty role for her to play as she carries the film on her shoulders. Petromax also has Yogi Babu, Munishkanth, Kaali Venkat as Thangam, Sathyam, Prem, Livingston, Mime Gopi and KSG Venkatesh in supporting roles.

Coming to the crew of the film, it is directed by a debutant Rohin Venkatesan, the music is composed by Ghibran, the movie is produced by A. Kumar under the production banner Eagle’s Eye Production. The Cinematography is handled by Dani Raymond whole the editing is done by Leo John Paul.

Petromax Movie Review

Telling us a tale of a family and four ghosts, Petromax comes out as typical fun horror-comedy thriller. Though it is told in the regular format, the film has a uniqueness to it which is what helps it stand apart.

The film manages to generate many scenes to make the audience laugh. The film is surprisingly scary too. It is a good mix of horror and comedy. The comedians and their roles are written and performed so well. Tamannah did complete justice to her character.

Ghibran’s background score keeps you engaged with the story and the characters. His BGM is one of the biggest assets of the film along with Dani Raymond’s visuals. Even the runtime of the movie is perfect. Overall, it is a good entertainer.
