Panga is a Bollywood Hindi-language Sports Drama genre film that stars Kangana Ranaut, Jassi Gill, Richa Chadda and Neena Gupta in lead roles. The film was written by Nikhil Mehrotra and Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari.
The film was produced by Fox Star Studios. Nitesh Tiwari has done the screenplay for this film. The background score and music of the film were composed by Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy while lyrics are written by the well known Javed Akthar.
The film is based on day to day lifestyle of a Kabbadi player. Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of Jaya Nigam, a retired Kabbadi world champion who decides to come back again and break stereotypes. What happens next, how the story progresses and how she manages her game along with her family is to be watched in the movie. Kangana Ranaut underwent training to portray Kabbadi Player in the film.
The film was officially started on 21st August 2018 by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari through her Instagram account. Kangana Ranaut stated that she was deeply moved after hearing the narration from Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Jassi Gill, who’s playing the husband role for Kangana Ranaut in the film said that he loved the script and was related to the script.
The makers of the film released the trailer on December 23, which was received hugely with around 50 Million digital views and 614 K likes. The film may get Varun Dhawan’s Street Dancer film in the competition which will release on the same day.
