Action-adventure mystery teen drama OBX or Outer Banks had released on Netflix on April 15, 2020. Owing to its beautiful cinematography and eminent star cast, the show had managed to garner mixed reviews by the critics.
Later the show stumbled into a few controversies. These included a copyright infringement claim by a North Carolina teacher and writer. But despite all, the fans were more engrossed in the show’s excellence, so the makers renewed it for a second season on 24 July 2020. But it’s been almost a year now, and the fans wonder when the show will release, so here is what we know so far.
OBX Season 2 Release Date:
It was announced that the new episodes were set on the backdrop of the Bahamas. The filming wrapped up only by April 2021, which was informed by the cast through an emotional Instagram post. The post-production is in the process, and the speculations had suggested a September or October release. But now, a few sources have claimed that the show won’t be coming out before late 2021. Maybe Covid Pandemic is one of the reasons behind it.
OBX Season 2 Cast:
The good news is that the entire lead star cast will be returning for this season, including Chase Stokes, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Austin North, Drew Starkey, Deion Smith, and Charles Esten. Besides them, Carlacia Grant will also be joining as Celo, a Nassau girl, a formidable artful dodger whose world collides with the Pogues, and Elizabeth Mitchell as Limbrey.
OBX Season 2: Plot
Madison Bailey has revealed that Season 2 will be super adventurous as it will be picking from when Pogues discovers gold within the depths of the sunken Royal Merchant. The characters may even be planning revenge against each other. Nevertheless, it’s going to be complex since the makers have already planned to continue it until four or five seasons.
