Action-adventure mystery teen drama OBX or Outer Banks had premiered on Netflix on April 15, 2020. The show had garnered mixed reviews by the critics about its eminent star cast and pretty cinematography.
The show had also landed in a few controversies, including a plot copyright claim by a North Carolina teacher and writer. Despite this, the show was loved by fans, and so the series was renewed for a second season on 24 July 2020. Here are all the details regarding Season 2.
OBX Season 2 Release Date:
Makers have announced that the new episodes of season 2 will, in part, take place in the Bahamas. Also, the filming was wrapped up in April 2021, as informed by the cast through an emotional Instagram post.
There is no release date in sight as post-production is still left, but guesses are Netflix may add the show to the premiere list of September or October. Covid pandemic is one reason the series got delayed, but if the post-production finishes off without any more hurdles, our guesses may come true.
OBX Season 2 Cast:

What to expect from OBX Season 2:
Last we witnessed Season 1 ending at an epic cliffhanger. We saw Pogues discovering gold within the depths of the sunken Royal Merchant. Now, picking up from here, Season 2 will be much more adventurous, as claimed by Madison Bailey.
Also, the makers have planned to continue the show for four or five seasons, so we’ll get to see many mysteries unfolding as well as tangling up. The characters may even end up planning revenge. Until the official synopsis is released, let’s continue speculating.
