Due to the global pandemic, the nomination ceremony was held in a virtual setting. The nominations of the 93rd Academy Awards were announced on March 15th, 2021. They were announced by Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas in a global live stream on the official website.

Oscars 2021 Nominations List

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have announced the nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards on Monday, for all 23 categories. Among the Oscar nominations 2021, David Fincher’s Mank received the most nominations with 10. It also includes nominations in the categories of Best Picture, Actor in a Leading Role, and Directing.

Other Oscars nominations 2021 with multiple nominations include movies The Father, Judas and the Black Messiah, Minari, Nomadland, Sound of Metal, and The Trial of the Chicago 7 with six nominations each.

Earlier, the Academy announced that the awards ceremony will be held on February 28th, 2021. Then, in June 2020, the Academy stated that it was postponing the ceremony from its originally scheduled date of February 28th, 2021 to April 25th, 2021. They postponed it due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on cinema.

So, finally, the nominations are out and the awards ceremony will take place on April 25th, 2021 in Los Angeles at both the Dolby Theatre and Union Station. This awards ceremony is presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
