Magamuni Movie Review

Magamuni is a story of ‘Two long-separated brothers end up in life-threatening situations. How do their lives intersect and what happens next?’. Arya will be seen playing a dual role in the movie. He plays the characters, Maga and Muni.

The film is surrounded by concepts like love, loyalty, casteism, politics, selfishness, backstabbing, corruption, redemption and revenge. The characters look very lifelike and simple. Same goes for the story. Not a minute in the film you will feel that the film is cinematic and extra drama is added to it.

Arya’s acting is exceptional. He did a terrific job playing the dual role. His acting comes across as natural and beautiful as it can get. His performance can be rated as one of the best in recent times.

Writer and director Santhakumar has proved his talent once again. His vision is perfectly carried out the actors and the technicians. Music director Thaman’s background score has carried the story perfectly. Cinematographer Arun Padmanaban’s visuals are also a perfect match for the film.

More than everything else, I loved the dialogues and story of the film. Though the film looks very simple, it has a beautiful philosophical side to it. Involving all the concepts in the movie, the film carries out a beautiful message. Do check it out.

Rating: 3/5
