Lock Up is a Chennai-based thriller film which was scheduled to release on Zee5 streaming Network on the 14th of August 2020. By the looks of it, Lock Up is among several films that the Tamil film industry and fraternity are opting to release on digital platforms due to the prevailing pandemic scenario.
The most unique element of the film is that the story is told from the perspective of three distinctive police officers encompassing the system. As mentioned earlier, the film features three police officers, well, three of them have their own ways of doing things. The first police officer is straightforward and ethical, the second is dishonest and manipulative and the third one avoids making any sort of concrete decisions. Nitin Satyaa, the notable Tamil actor, helms the role of the producer of the film.

The sad piece of news for the film is that right after its release on Zee5, Lock Up was leaked on notorious pirated websites such as Tamilrockers, The Pirate Bay, 1337x and Rarbg.
Given that the film surrounds a brutal rape and murder investigation, the people who promote piracy has managed to leak the film on the same day of its release on Zee5.
