Game of Thrones has been one of the most loved shows in television history. The epic cinematography and vivid storytelling were enough for the fans to crave for more. And so a prequel of the show, House of Dragons, is all set to hit the screens. The story is set 300 years before Game Of Thrones’ events and is based on George R.R Martin’s book ‘Fire & Blood,’ telling the story of House Targaryen. Here are all the details regarding the series.
House of Dragon: Release Date
A video teaser showing a roaring dragon fire and a new glittering gold logo was released in December 2020 by HBO max. It claimed that the prequel would premiere in 2022. The show will consist of 10 episodes.
House of Dragon: Cast and Characters
Some renowned names have been roped in for the series. These include Paddy Considine who will reprise the role of King Viserys Targaryen, Olivia Cooke playing Alicia Hightower, Emma D’Arcy playing Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith playing Prince Daemon Targaryen, Steve Toussaint playing Lord Corlys Velaryon aka “The Sea Snake, Eva Best playing Princess Rhaenys Velaryon, Rhys Ifans playing Otto Hightower and Sonya Mizuno as Mysaria.
House of Dragon: Trailer
No official trailer has been released so far, while the series was mentioned in the Netflix next big look ahead teasers coming up in 2022.
House of Dragons: Theme
House of Dragons takes place 300 years before the Five Kings War and involves the Dragonlord ancestors of House Targaryen and the Dance of the Dragons. Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal will help the show.
