It almost feels like an eternity that Hocus Pocus 2 is in development. Disney+ has given the green light to the most-awaiting sequel from the core of Disney Studio. Further, Disney also confirmed the most provocative news regarding the sequel of Hocus Pocus, among several other announcements for the occasion of Investor Day back in December 2020. Even during the announcement, none of the film’s further details have been unveiled other than the forthcoming sequel’s director.

Hocus Pocus 2: Cast
The sequel of the popular 80s magic drama film was first announced back in 2019. No one was sure that fans would accept the movie with their open arms by the looks of it. In addition to this, there were specific claims which suggested that the entire franchise will be rebooted.
At the time of speculations, the writer and co-producer of ‘Workaholics’ Jen D’Angelo were tasked to pen the Hocus Pocus 2. Furthermore, D’Angelo also shared the markers’ interest to bring the film’s original lead to the sequel.
Reports and claims back up that the original Sanderson sister will be back as Milder, who played one of the witches, Winnie Sanderson, confirmed that she and her co-star Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker are going to return as Mary Sanderson and Sarah Sanderson in the sequel for Hocus Pocus. Midler revealed that when the makers asked they want to make a sequel for Hocus Pocus, Midler jumped to a yes almost immediately.

Hocus Pocus 2: Release Date
At the time of writing, Disney is yet to confirm the release date of Hocus Pocus 2. So, there is no way to expect the actual release date for the sequel. But one thing is for; sure the sequel will be added to Disney+ for streaming.
Further, Midler went ahead and confirmed sometime in February 2021 regarding the fact that she has laid her eyes on the sequel’s script. Fans won’t have to wait long to get to see the sequel to their favorite film.
Certain speculations suggest that 2021 Halloween is the ideal time for the release of the film. The film in the series was released back in July. However, production houses across the world have begun to release spooky movies on the occasion of Halloween.
Hocus Pocus 2: Plot
None of the industry insiders have any idea regarding the sequel. Nevertheless, the first film in the series has laid the foundation on the resurrection, magic, and all kinds of voodoo.
The sisters will again return after being resurrected in the forthcoming sequel, but how they will be restored is unknown. The film’s ending already hinted that the witches would return as the book that witches use is also alive. Let’s hope for the best.
