Ghost Lab Netflix Release Date | Upcoming Thai Supernatural Thriller

Netflix has acquired worldwide rights to “Ghost Lab,” a Thai supernatural thriller by a Bangkok-based studio GDH 559, the same studio behind the hit film “Bad Genius.”

Directed by “Goff” Paween Purijitpanya, Ghost Lab is a film about supernatural experiments which cross boundaries between life and death. It stars “Tor” Thanapob Leeratanakachorn, “Ice” Paris Intarakomalyasut and “Nychaa” Nuttanicha Dungwattanawanich.

A thought-provoking movie, the storyline of Ghost Lab is quite unconventional. The film attempts to dig deeper into our belief in the supernatural and encourage people to contemplate their lives and find answers to their questions. It also the first Thai movie to be produced in Dolby Vision.

Ghost Lab is GDH’s first title to be available exclusively on Netflix. Netflix will release the movie on May 26.

It is the first deal between Netflix and GDH 599. The studio is a consistent producer of quality films in the country. It was formed under a joint venture between Thai studios GMM Grammy and Hub Ho Hin in 2016.

The deal between Netflix and GDH came into force as Cinemas across Thailand were ordered to shut down as the country forced stricter lockdown to fight COVID.
