George Floyd is an African American from Minneapolis. Recently, he has been allegedly suffocated to death by Derek Chauvin who is a white police officer on Monday. Along with Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao was the other arresting officer. Recently, a video of Derek Chauvin was released online.
In the video, George Floyd was seen begging to breathe as he was struggling for air. He was constantly asking their mercy. Floyd was saying that his stomach, neck and whole body hurts. He kept saying he cannot breathe.
The sports stars among the whole world are asking for action over the death of George Floyd. US golfer Tiger Woods, France striker Kylian Mbappe, Alex Morgan who is a football star, all of them joined the bandwagon of sports stars to criticize and censure the death if George Floyd.
Tou Thao and Derek Chauvin now are placed on an administrative leave meanwhile the police and FBI investigate the case. Four policemen have been fired since. Floyd was suspected of Forgery.
