IPL 2020 player auction, one of the most awaited events for the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League, is all set to begin in the next week of this month.

For IPL 2020 Auction, a total of 971 players have registered themselves, out of which 713 are Indian players and 258 are overseas players. However, franchises have shortlisted only 332 players out of these.
A total of eight teams have been given the duty to fill 73 slots by picking a maximum of 29 overseas players.

The IPL 2020 Auction will comprise of hard-hitting batsman Robin Uthappa, left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat and overseas players such as Aaron Finch and Chris Lynn.
Uthappa, having the highest base price of Rs 1.5 crore, is also expected to be the most wanted player. He will also be a part of the first set of players that comprises of Aaron Finch, Chris Lynn, Jason Roy, and Eoin Morgan.
Glenn Maxwell is expected to start a bidding war among the overseas players. The Aussie all-rounder, having the base price of Rs 2 crore, is also going to be accessible. He will also be a part of the second set of players that comprises of Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Marsh, Dale Steyn, and Angelo Mathews.
