Dune, which was released on October 21, 2021, is a science fiction movie directed by Denis Villeneuve; the film explores the fictional future where the protagonist Oscar Isaac and his wife and son, Rebecca Ferguson & Timothee Chalamet, respectively, are involved in a war, between the native’s people and the antagonist invaders Harkonnen in the Dune planet aka Arrakis.
Dune was released in theatres across India on October 22, 2021, after the U.S release. Though the film was released in the U.S on October 21, Makers had already released the movie outside the U.S a month before September 15, 2021.
It was made up of 165 million dollars and grossed around 130 million dollars in those parts as of October 17, and still running well at the box office. But the sad part with the film is, it has been leaked online on torrent sites.
The film earned 37.9 million dollars on the first weekend from Russia, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. And 26.3 and 76.5 on consecutive weekends.
It is being said that the film would earn around 40 to 45 million dollars on its opening weekend in the U.S and India ( the final reports are yet to come), which is a good number but with the film being got leaked online, which can harm its business and reduce their weekend collection to 30 to 35 million dollars compared to expected groups.

Reportedly the film was leaked online days before its release date in India and U.S; there are many International piracy sites where you can watch the movie that too in HD Quality; what can makers do if the movie gets leaked before its release date? There are many Intl. And National piracy sites are circulating the film in 480p/720p quality and with subtitles too.
This is not the problem with only the dune earlier; Hollywood films like Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Shang Chi also leaked online. And almost every movie is getting leaked online, whether it’s Hollywood and its Bollywood; these torrent sites are not sparing any movie.
We can only say that the film is getting positive reviews from the viewers as well as critics, it is being praised for the narration, and the IMAX quality which the director has filmed with, you can feel the immersing effects only in the cinemas, if the movie is made with IMAX cameras.
