Jayam Ravi’s ‘image makeover’ movie Comali is premiering today. It had made quite a lot of dispute all over the internet. The movie is about a guy who has woken up from coma after 16 years. The entirely changed world astonishes him. The trailer shows Jayam Ravi in multiple looks. This intrigued the curiosity of quite a lot of viewers and contributed to the sudden popularity of the trailer. It is releasing today, 15 August.
It also had to face a huge amount of negative reactions due to a small scene which kind of mocked Rajani on his political entry. The filmmakers never intended the joke to be received in such an unfortunate way. The main actor, director and most of the cast and crew are huge fans of Rajani.

The movie is directed by debut director Pradeep Ranganathan. The film is produced under the banner of Vels Films International. The movie will not be like any other general film. Jayam Ravi considers this movie as his makeover movie to change his image which was recently always about no-fun-police men and total action movies. This one will be a light-hearted humor movie. He will have 5 different looks in the movie.
Kajal Agarwal is the lead actress while Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde makes her Tamil movie debut with this movie. The latter is reported to play School love of Jayam Ravi’s character. Kajal’s character will be his pair and is the plot turner according to the director. Comedian Yogi Babu, director KS Ravikumar, etc are other gems in the cast. The song is composed by hip-hop Thamizha. The camera is handled by Richard M Nathan
The trailer was a controversial one in the Rajani Fans circle, which ignited the #boycottComali tag to become trending all over social media. Recent revelations from Jayam Ravi confirmed that the scene although never intended to hurt anyone has been removed from the final cut of the movie.
Comali Movie Review
This one is an exciting fun-filled ride. From start to end, the film runs on comedy and comedy alone. If you have watched the trailer, you will understand that the plot is set right from the trailer, its a story of Coma survivor who gets out of coma after 16 years.
This premise will ensure a whole lot of fun, laughs, and nostalgia. This particular film is a treat to watch for the people who are born in the ’90s. The film also has a politician and gangster aspects to it.
Jayam Ravi, who plays the main lead in the film has delivered a good performance. His comedy timing is on par with that of his co-actor Yogi Babu. The actresses Kajal Aggarwal and Samyuktha Hegde are also a great addition to the film. Hip-hop Tamizha’s music is excellent as always.
There is no much to say about the film in a review. It is that kind of a film which can be only watched and not the one which we can speak off. If you looking to check out a movie this weekend, then I would recommend Comali.
