Alongside, the notable wrestler of the country, Yogeshwar Dutt is also going to contest in the election from Baroda. Sandeep Singh, the ex-captain of Indian Hockey team and Babita Phogat, the female wrestler will also contest in the election from Pehowa and Dadri, respectively.

BJP has also convened that the notable CEC meeting would take place this week on Sunday. According to the source, during the meeting that respective candidates for both Haryana and Maharashtra have been finalized. Amit Shah, India’s Union Home Minister, and BJP president along with Narendra Modi, the country’s PM had chaired the said meeting. JP Nadda, the working president of BJP was also one of the attendees of the meeting.

CEC Meeting was delayed for over a week

The PM, Mr. Modi was away to the US for over a week and this is all the more reason as to why the meeting was delayed for more than a week. The PM returned to the country Saturday around evening.

The list of the candidates suggests that seven of the existing MLAs didn’t receive the ticket; however, around 38 of the MLAs have got the ticket. The saffron party did also provide tickets to a couple of Muslim candidates and nine women.

Haryana would be heading to polls on the 21st of October 2019. The last day to nominate file is on the 4th of October. The results are going to be declared on the 24th of October once the votes have been counted.
