The Mandalorian star Bill Burr would love to return for the Star Wars show’s third season, but can’t say if he’s involved.
Bill Burr first appeared in the first season of The Mandalorian portraying the character Mayfield. On the show, the character was the leader of a crew of mercenaries with whom The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, teamed up to earn a quick salary. Unfortunately, things went wrong and Bill Burr’s character was arrested by New Republic forces.
In the second season of the Star Wars show, Bill Burr played the role of Mayfield in which he helped Din locate the recently kidnapped Grogu on an Imperial base. Unfortunately, Mayfield runs into his old commander from his time in the Imperial Army who taunts Bill Burr’s character by recalling a story where they murdered thousands of civilians. In response, Mayfield snapped and shot his old commander, and the two had to fight their way out of the base. In exchange for his help, Mayfield is pronounced dead so he can go out and start a new life.
