The Disciple revolves around Sharad Nerulkar, who devotes his life to become an Indian classical music vocalist. He diligently follows the traditions and teachings of the old experts, his teacher, and his father. As years go by, Sharad becomes more and more vary about his future and descends into an existential crisis. He starts to wonder if he can achieve the excellence he has been dreaming of.

3. Yasuke

Yasuke Release Date: 29th April (Netflix)

Set in an alternate fantastical feudal-era Japan, Yasuke is about an African descent samurai warrior who serves the legendary Oda Nobunaga. Living in a war-torn country that is filled with machines and magic, Yasuke strives to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence. Unfortunately, when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval, he is forced to take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is a target of dark forces and murderous warlords.

The life of a seventeen-year-old student, Steve Harmon, comes crashing down when he is charged with murder. The movie follows the dramatic journey of Steve, from being a charming and likable film student from Harlem, studying in an elite high school to being caught in a complex legal battle that could leave him spending the rest of his life in prison or getting his name cleared.
